West Virginia Water Company, EPA Promoting ‘Fix A Leak Week’
< < Back toA leak here, a drippy faucet there – it all adds up to more than 1 trillion gallons of water lost annually in the U.S.
That loss of water is behind the annual Fix a Leak Week campaign nationally and in West Virginia. Here, West Virginia American Water is partnering with the Environmental Protection Agency to promote the annual campaign.
The Public Service Commission is also promoting “Fix a Leak Week.”
Tuesday, representatives from the water company and the EPA will be at Poca Elementary School to talk about in-home leak detection and repairs. The presentation includes activities to help students identify leaks.
PSC representatives this week will visit schools in Charleston and Parkersburg to deliver the message and “deputize” students to look for leaks.
