The City of Dublin has named Donna Goss as its new director of development.

Goss has served as Director of Real Estate Management, Community Engagement and Economic Development at Ohio University since 2011.

According to a news release, Goss will oversee the divisions of Economic Development, Building Standards, Land Use and Long Range Planning and Review Services.  Goss is stepping into the position left vacant by Dana McDaniel who was named city manager earlier this year.

“Donna will bring a significant understanding of commercial real estate and finance, master planning, community and constituent relations, capital planning, land development and redevelopment project experience,” McDaniel said in the news release.. He also noted Goss represented Ohio University and the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine during the negotiations with the City to establish a presence for Ohio University in Dublin.

“And having sat across the table from her, I know she is a savvy negotiator and very qualified in the development/real estate world,” added McDaniel. “She is also very skilled in master planning processes having led the efforts for two universities.”

Goss’ first day will be July 20.
