County Pondering Whether to Ask For Return of Grant Funds

The Athens County Commissioners postponed a decision Thursday on whether to seek repayment from the Nelsonville Restoration Foundation of grant funds used for projects at former school buildings in the city.
The foundation owns the former high school and junior high buildings on Fayette Street, but plans to sell them to a developer, Woda Group, that wants to convert them into apartments. There would be some space earmarked for use by Rocky Brands.
