Poling had 12 tackles, including a sack for a loss of eight yards and a forced fumble on back-to-back plays. Poling also had a career-high 10 solo hits in the dominating road game.
The sophomore already has a decorated career for the Bobcats. Last year, Poling earned the MAC-East Defensive Player of the Week honor twice (Sept. 8 and 22), CFPA National Defensive Performer of the Week and National Linebacker of the Week honors (Sept. 22), and the Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week (Sept. 23).
Poling will look forward to bring his decorated defensive talents back home to Athens against Marshall for the first home game of the season.
