Karin Bull Named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week
< < Back to karin-bull-named-mac-east-defensive-player-of-the-week-2Ohio Volleyball’s middle blocked Karin Bull was named MAC East Defensive player of the week after a remarkable weekend in Fort Meyers, Florida where the Bobcats competed in the Florida Gulf Coast Invitational.
The senior Bobcat led the team in 19 total blocks – one solo – against Florida Atlantic, which played a significant role in the defeat of the Eagles in all three matches; each game resulted in 3-1 wins for Ohio University. The first win of the weekend, Bull temporarily retired from the court with eight kills, zero errors, 19 total attacks, one solo block, and one dig.
Bull returned later Friday evening and claimed three more kills and one assisted block, which earned another victory for the green and white.
Bull left Fort Meyers with a flawless final match on Saturday (Sept. 19) with eight kills, zero errors, and 14 total attacks. Regardless of her own victories, Bull also claimed a match-high eight assisted blocks and one assist.
The senior is leaving her mark on Ohio territory, leading the team through 13 matches with 63 total blocks in the 2015 season. Bull’s 1.13 career blocks per set put her fourth on the leaderboard in Ohio’s volleyball program history and tied for fifth for total blocks, tallying 366.
