Southeastern Ohio Athletic League

Jackson (7-1, 2-0) | Next Opponent: vs. Oxford Talawanda (Sat. 10/24)

The Ironmen proved themselves as a playoff-caliber team during their 47-6 rout of Meigs. The offense and defense are gelling at the right time, and it will likely earn the team an SEOAL title. Jackson’s competition level will drop over the next two weeks with its opponents boasting a cumulative 1-15 record.

Logan (6-2, 0-1) | Next Opponent: @ Gallia Academy

Injury troubles and games against a pair of playoff-caliber teams has resulted in an uncharacteristic two-game skid for the Chieftains. Logan posted season low scoring marks in each match-up, 21 against Jackson and seven against Columbus St. Francis DeSales, placing all the more pressure on the Chieftains to finish strong in order to stay in the D-II, region five playoff picture.

Gallia Academy (1-7, 1-0) | Next Opponent: vs. Logan

Gallia Academy got over the first-win hump with two weeks to spare, thanks to Kole Carter’s big performance against Warren. As of right now, Gallia Academy and Jackson stand as the only undefeated teams in the conference.

Warren (0-8, 0-2) | Next Opponent: vs. Parkersburg (WV)

In four of Warren’s eight games this season, opponents have scored a larger point total in those individual games than what Warren has scored in total all season (34).

Scioto Valley Conference

Zane Trace (8-0, 5-0) | Next Opponent: @ Huntington

With playoffs approaching, the Pioneers have shown no signs of slowing down. Zane Trace has weapons in all aspects of the game, leading the entire SVC in both scoring differential and sacks.

Unioto (4-4, 2-3) | Next Opponent: vs. Piketon

In the midst of a redevelopment process, Unioto has taken advantage of lesser opponents with each of its wins coming against teams with one or fewer wins. Unioto’s next two opponents boast a combined 9-7 record.

Mid-State League – Buckeye

Bloom-Carroll (5-3, 3-2) | Next Opponent: @ Teays Valley

The Bulldogs currently sit in the final playoff spot in D-IV, region 13, but question marks remain. Bloom-Carroll has looked impressive at times, but is also coming off a game against Hamilton Township in which it could not stop home run plays. The Bulldogs allowed touchdown passes of 42, 55, and 66 yards.

Amanda-Clearcreek (2-6, 1-4) | Next Opponent: @ Circleville

Amanda-Clearcreek’s spirits are riding high following its upset win against Logan Elm. Jordan Leasure piled on 263 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

Fairfield Union (3-5, 1-4) | Next Opponent: vs. Liberty Union

Fairfield Union has failed to score in seven of its last nine quarters of action, including a shutout loss to Teays Valley on Friday.
