Vinton County Places in Division II Rankings

The Vinton County Vikings’ strong performance on the court this season hasn’t gone unnoticed. In the second weekly OHSAA Associated Press poll, Vinton County ranks sixth in Division II.
The Vikings are undefeated in TVC-Ohio play and have suffered just one loss on the season. The Maroon & White tallied 51 points in the poll, behind Napoleon (83) and just ahead of Defiance (47).
This week the Vikings face both Meigs and Alexander on the road. Both teams sit at second and third in the TVC-Ohio respectively and will be sure to test the Vikings’ strong game plan.
The Warren Warriors were the last team from Southeast Ohio to finish ranked in the season’s final poll, finishing 10th in 2014.
