The Athens County Sheriff’s Office said they have solved a case in which multiple cars were damaged throughout the county.

In a statement released on Facebook, the sheriff’s office states the case remains under investigation, but that it has been “resolved.”

“Multiple juveniles were involved and confessions were obtained,” the post states.

In previous posts, the sheriff’s office said they received multiple calls about vehicle vandalism on Jan. 20.

“These acts appear to be random and involve multiple subjects,” according to a post the same day. “At this time, the total damage of vandalism is over $10,000.”

Sixteen reports were taken from The Plains, four in Jacksonville, three in Chauncey and two in Wonder Hills.

There is no word on whether the suspects are connected to similar incidents in the city of Athens.
