Farm-to-School Programming in Appalachian Ohio

Rural Action connects region issues in our communities to volunteerism and action. On this episode of “Conversations from Studio B”, Shannon Stewart and Tom Redfern from Rural Action invites Dr. Tom Gibbs, Superintendent of Athens City Schools for a discussion on farm-to-school programming in the area.
The 2016 Southest Ohio Farm to School Conference will take place March 3 and 4 at Kiser’s at Eclipse in The Plains. The theme for this years conference is “Partnerships and Innovations for Successful Farm to School Programs”, and will feature two days of events, speakers, and workshops.
