Ohio Baseball Sweeps MAC Players of the Week
< < Back to ohio-baseball-sweeps-mac-players-of-the-weekOhio baseball earned two Mid-American Conference Players of the Week honors. Junior second baseman Ty Black earned MAC East Player of the Week, and senior pitcher Jake Miller won MAC East Pitcher of the Week.
Black hit .600 over three starts, putting up an impressive stat line to start the season with nine hits and three RBIs. He also racked up a .667 slugging percentage and .647 on base percentage. In the series against UNC-Asheville, he had four runs scored.
Miller started off his season right with a record of 1-0 and an ERA of 3.60. He also racked up a team-high eight strikeouts in the series opener against UNC Asheville. In game two of the series, Miller added another seven strikeouts to his stat line.
Black, Miller and the Bobcats now head down to Birmingham, Ala., for a three game series against University of Alabama-Birmingham from Feb. 26 through 28.
