Marchenkov will travel to St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia this summer to research archival sources that will assist in completing his forthcoming book, Three Borises: Poetic Truth against the Will to Power. The book is a defense of art at philosophy’s ally and focuses on how three artists, Alexander Pushkin, Modest Musorgsky and Andrei Tarkovksy challenged the modern views on art.
Marchenkov is a professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts in the College of Fine Arts at Ohio University.
