Athena Cinema to Take Part in National “Science on Screen” Event
< < Back to national-science-screen-event-take-place-athena-cinemaOn this episode of Conversations from Studio B, host Kelee Riesbeck talks with Alex Kamody, director of the Athena Cinema, and Ken Brown, retired Professor Emeritus of Chemistry and Biochemistry, about the National Science on Screen℠ event, scheduled for 7 p.m. on March 22 at the Athena Cinema.
Brown will present a talk titled “The Biochemistry of Fear” before a screening of The Wages of Fear, the 1953 classic thriller by Henri-Georges Clouzot.
The Athena Cinema is one of 19 art house cinemas nationwide participating in the event. On this Studio B, Kamody and Brown discuss the value of pairing the cinema with science to support science literacy among the public.
