Mompremier Granted Release
< < Back to mompremier-granted-releaseSaul Phillips announced Tuesday that rising senior Wadly Mompremier has been granted release from his scholarship as a part of the Ohio men’s basketball team.
“Wadly has been granted immediate release,” Phillips said about the forward from Miami, Fla. “We thank him for his efforts and support him as he looks to get closer to home.”
Mompremier played in 64 games in his three years with the Bobcats, starting five of them. He registered a career-best 2.6 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game during the 2015-2016 campaign. Mompremier also appeared in a career-high 30 games as a junior.
The 6’10” forward notched his only career double-double on the floor of the Convo when he scored a career-high 12 points and pulled down 12 rebounds in a win over Florida Gulf Coast on November 14, 2015.
