< < Back to ky-firefighters-charged-with-arsonBROWNSVILLE, Ky. (AP) – Six people, including three one-time western Kentucky volunteer firefighters, have been indicted on charges related to several suspected arsons dating back to last year.
News outlets report an Edmonson County grand jury indicted the suspects last week in connection with fires that occurred between November 2015 and October 2016.
Twenty-year-old Wesley Massey, 20-year-old Tyler Hamilton and 21-year-old Dylan Ramsey had previously been firefighters for the Kyrock Volunteer Fire Department.
Four of the suspects were arrested Nov. 7 while deputies were investigating suspicious fires at abandoned structures, including one that destroyed a former Brownsville general store. Other arrests followed.
Between the six indicted suspects and a juvenile who has also been charged, there are a total of 414 felony charges in the case. It’s unclear whether the suspects have attorneys.
