Lampkins Moves Up On All-Time Scoring List
< < Back to lampkins-moves-up-on-all-time-scoring-listQuiera Lampkins now ranks third in the record books when it comes to scoring for the Ohio Bobcats.
With a 24-point outing against Central Michigan on Wednesday, Lampkins has 1,602 points in her Ohio career.
Lampkins surpassed Laura Reding, an Ohio guard from 1987-1991 who scored 1,590 points in her career.
The senior guard needed 12 points at Central Michigan to move into third all-time in scoring. She was only able to score nine points in the first three quarters before carrying the Bobcats with 15 points in the final 10 minutes of play.
Lampkins needs 172 points over the final eight regular season games, plus the postseason, to pass Kiyanna Black and move into second all-time.
She is currently averaging 19.7 points per game and at this rate, Lampkins will need nine games to become the second leading scorer in the history of Ohio Women’s Basketball.
Lampkins and the rest of the Bobcats will take on Toledo this Saturday at 3 p.m. inside the Convocation Center.
