CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – A new mobile dental clinic has been dedicated to serve rural and low-income West Virginia residents.

WSAZ-TV reports West Virginia Health Right officials celebrated the dedication of the mobile dental clinic Wednesday morning. The 38-foot (11-meter) trailer has an X-ray machine and three dental chairs.

Both uninsured and Medicaid-insured patients will be served by the mobile dental clinic free of charge. West Virginia Health Right CEO Angie Settle says the unit is expected to treat about 3,000 people a year.

The mobile dental clinic will serve people living in McDowell, Logan, Boone, Clay, Roane and Harrison counties. It will visit each site twice a month and will be out three days a week.
