Nestled away in typically sleepy Point Pleasant, WV, is the annual Mothman Festival — a celebration of all things odd and a commemoration of the mysterious sightings of the so-called ‘mothman’ in Point Pleasant throughout 1966-1967. Besides being a gathering place for paranormal investigators and cryptozoologists from around the world, the festival is also a playful way in which the tight-knit Point Pleasant community comes together at the end of each summer.
