LancasterChorale to Spotlight Music of Jonathan Dove April 21-22
< < Back to lancasterchorale-spotlight-music-jonathan-dove-april-21-22LancasterChorale, central Ohio’s premier professional chamber choir, will close its 2017-18 season with “The Seven Stars: Music of Jonathan Dove” on Saturday, April 21, and Sunday, April 22. The performances continue the organization’s initiative to present regular season concerts in the Metro-Columbus area, in addition to its customary performances in Lancaster.
Two years ago, LancasterChorale performed Jonathan Dove’s “Seek Him That Maketh the Seven Stars” to strong response from audiences. This year’s program includes that work, and will feature additional titles by Dove including Welcome All Wonders in One Sight and Missa Brevis. The program will also spotlight works by Howard Hanson, Esenvalds, and Ticheli, all featuring texts about stars. The performances will include regular LancasterChorale collaborator Kevin Jones as organist.
