Unofficial Primary Election Results for Local Races in Jackson County

Unofficial primary election results for local races in Jackson County are in.

Jon Hensler won in the Republican primary race for Jackson County Commissioner. Hensler received 2,315 votes compared to Randy Evans 1,536 votes. In a three-way race, Republican primary race for county auditor Tiffany Ridgeway won with 2,605 votes. Jim Milliken received 1,005 votes. Chris Dupree received 255 votes.

Voters rejected a 1.5 mill tax levy that would have provided funding for children’s services. The levy failed 2,462 to 2,304.  The levy had failed last year’s general election.

Voters also rejected a one-percent income tax levy that would have provided funds to operate the City of Jackson police department. The levy failed 679-486.
