DAYTON, Ohio (AP) – Hundreds of teachers at Wright State University are on strike.

Officials at the southwest Ohio state school say classes will continue with most teachers still on the job, including some union members. Some classes will be combined, some taught by substitutes and others offered online.

The Dayton Daily News reports that school president Cheryl Schrader plans to teach during the strike that began Tuesday.

Some 560 of the university’s faculty of 1,700 belong to the American Association of University Professors.

The union rejected the latest employment terms issued by the school’s Board of Trustees. Those terms involve areas including health care and pay.

The university has said it negotiated “in good faith” and has put forth the best employment terms it could.
