September 21-22 marked the annual Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The festival has been taking place for 18 years, drawing successively larger crowds each year to the small town that was terrorized by the mysterious Mothman starting in November 1966 and culminating with the tragic collapse of the Silver Bridge on December 15, 1967.

WOUB was at the festival on Saturday, September 21 and spoke to Haunted Hocking author Jannette Quakenbush, Hellier producer and paranormal investigator Greg Newkirk, and Small Town Monsters creator and director Seth Breedlove about the festival and their various projects that seek to chronicle and understand the phenomena not explained by mainstream science. You can listen to their interviews above.
