Decorative Arts Center of Ohio’s ‘Ohio Presidents: Surprising Legacies’

Eight U.S. Presidents hailed from the Buckeye State: Ulysses Grant, Rutherford Hayes, James Garfield, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley, William Howard Taft, William Henry Harrison, and Warren G. Harding.
September 21, 2019 through December 29, 2019, the Decorative Arts Center of Ohio (145 East Main Street, Lancaster OH) will host an exhibition celebrating all of those Presidents with Ohio Presidents: Surprising Legacies. The exhibition was curated by art historian and independent curator Christine Fowler Shearer, who spoke to WOUB about the exhibition in the interview embedded above.

The Decorative Arts Center of Ohio is located at 145 East Main Street in Lancaster. The museum’s hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The museum is closed on Mondays. Admission is always free.
