It’s just about time for the Annual Halloween Block Party and Festivities which means the Honey for the Heart puppets and creatures are ready to march up and down court street of Athens and they want YOU to help them strut their stuff!

You don’t need a costume to participate in the parade. In fact, they prefer you show up without one and let them dress you in one of the hundreds of costumes they have made. If you want to be a puppeteer of one of the larger costume/puppets show up early as they get claimed quickly.  Parade Prep at  Central Venue 5 p.m.-5:30 p.m.  Parade starts at 6 p.m.

After the parade stick around for a Ball! Prepare to dance with all the creatures and creations with New Orleans style jazz band and Athens favorite…the Wild Honeybees!

Listen to a conversation with Honey For the Heart Creator and Director of Operations Patty Mitchell and Susan Dlouhy who discuss the history of Honey for the Heart and all the details you need to participate in this community collaborative art project that has become a family friendly tradition in Athens in the interview embedded above.
