MARIETTA, Ohio (WOUB) — Marietta College has moved to online-only classes until further notice, after Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s recommendation that all colleges and universities suspend in-person instruction.

Faculty will inform students on how to access online coursework.

Bill Ruud, president of the college, said in a statement that campus will remain open. The Human Resources office will contact department leaders regarding employees who may need to work remotely.

Students will return to campus from spring break on Saturday, March 15. Ruud said housing and food service will be available. Students who wish to stay home are able to return to their residence hall beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday to collect books and personal items.

Athletic competitions will go on as normal, Ruud said.
