Athens County Public Hearings Re: Sales Tax Levy, July 31 & Aug 4

ATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — The Athens County Commissioners will be holding public hearings with the intent to pass a 5 year levy to increase the sales tax in Athens County. The 0.25 percent increase is intended to provide additional revenue for the county’s 9-1-1 system.
There will be two public hearings held, via video conference. The first meeting is 6 p.m. Friday, July 31, and the second is Wednesday August 4, 2020.
