I have no theme planned for this weekend although there are a few things that will be influencing what I play. Unfortunately we have lost three friends over the last month, including the front man for my first band so I will be playing some Larry and the Lima Beans for him and music that I associate with the others. We are starting to see a return to live music (I saw Angela Perley at Stuart’s last night) so I will be taking a look at some upcoming shows. And, as always, we will listen to some new stuff. Please join me from 9 to noon on wonderful Radio Free Athens.

If the past year has reaffirmed anything to me (and I didn’t need much convincing) it’s that linear time is more a matter of belief than a matter of fact, so for my big return to Radio Free Athens I’ll be segmenting my show into three hour-long sections ambiguously referred to as “past, present, future.”

Coming with 11 years of on-air experience in non-commercial community radio, The Terra Era makes its WOUB debut from 3-6pm. By playing an eclectic mix with an emphasis towards hip-hop and electronica, I hope to run the listeners through the wide and ever-expanding spectrum of human emotion, clear clogged energetic pores from this pandemic, and, most importantly, give them a good soundtrack for a pleasurable, hot June Saturday afternoon.
