Show Your Support During WOUB’s Summer Radio Pledge Drive

ATHENS, OH – As the United States emerges from the global COVID-19 pandemic, people are getting back in their cars to commute to work and listening to WOUB and NPR again. During the time at home, many missed the quality programming, news and information that had become a regular part of their day. They also missed the chance to show their support for it by donating to WOUB during one of our pledge drives. Next week will be their chance.
“Many new people discovered WOUB and NPR during the pandemic, and we’re so grateful for the support they have given us,” said WOUB General Manager Mark Brewer. “Now, we’re thrilled to welcome back those who are getting back into their normal routines and turning on WOUB again.”
WOUB FM will be conducting its Summer Radio Pledge Drive from July 12 – July 18. Listeners can show their support for their favorite NPR and WOUB radio programs by making a donation.
Thanks to the donations of many dedicated WOUB members who understand how important it is for new listeners and current donors to become sustaining members of WOUB, we will be conducting special matching hours throughout the drive. The matching dollars will be used to double contributions from new sustaining members and current members who become sustaining monthly donors.
“We appreciate the matching funds donated for this drive to WOUB,” said Brewer. “It gives those who have not given before a chance to double their impact with their first donation.”
