Henry emerges from crowded GOP race for Commissioner in Gallia County’s May 2022 Primary

Leslie Henry will be the Republican candidate for Gallia County Commissioner in November. They emerged from a six-way race in the primary with 1,766 votes. Incumbent Harold Montgomery followed in second with 1,653 votes, then by Bryan Martin with 489 votes, Charles Dean with 248 votes, Bradley Davies with 156 votes and Gregory Nida with 115 votes. There was no petition filed in the Primary Election by a Democratic candidate.
Incumbent Robert Jacks earned the Republican nomination for Gallia County auditor, defeating challenger Teresa Short by a total of 2,494-1,780. There was no petition filed in the Primary Election by a Democratic candidate.
Voters approved the Green Township Fire Levy Renewal, 729-234.
The District 2 Fire Levy renewal also passed with a vote of 251-72.
Harrison Township voters signed off on the Fire Levy 1 Renewal 128-38 and the Fire Levy 2 Renewal 125-39.
The Rio Grande Village Income Tax Renewal won approval, 84-28.
Per Ohio law, these results are considered unofficial until the final official canvas is completed in three weeks.
