Chillicothe gets revenge win against Miami Trace in overtime thriller

This game was a critical conference matchup as it would determine which teams would rise and fall in the Frontier Conference.
Going into the first quarter, it seemed like the Cavaliers were going to cruise past the Panthers as they were able to score on their first offensive possession of the game, as Tre King was able to coast into the endzone making it 7-0 Chillicothe lead.
But the first quarter would not be much more eventful, as the Panthers would settle with a field goal late into the first quarter, making it 7-3 Cavaliers lead.
Going back on the offensive end, the Panthers weren’t able to get another touchdown, but they were able to capitalize on a 40 yard field goal attempt.
On the next Chillicothe possession, they were able to get another touchdown late into the second quarter, making it a 14-6 Cavalier lead. But Miami Trace would not stay away as Coledon May is able to decrease the Cavalier lead with less than a minute in the second quarter.
Heading into the second half, Chillicothe leads Miami Trace 21-12.
The second half of this game would be an offensive bombardment, as Miami Trace would tie up the game as May would get back to back scores for the Panthers to tie it up at 21 a piece.
Neither team would score for the rest of the third quarter, as the game would head into the final quarter of regulation. With less than four minutes to go in regulation, Asher LeBeau would get the final Miami Trace score of the game, as the Panthers would go up 28-21.
But before regulation ran out, Chillicothe was able to tie up the game with less than 10 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, making it 28-28 heading into overtime.
With the Cavaliers overtime possession, Miles Lewis was able to land in the endzone, giving Chillicothe their game winning score, winning 35-28.
For Miami Trace, Trey Robinette finished for 16/25 for 166 yards.
For the Cavaliers, Tayvion Galloway led in receiving as he had 2 catches for 114 yards.
Mason Doughty led in passing for Chillicothe as he finished 14/23 for 310 yards.
Miami Trace (2-5, 0-2 in conference) will look to get another win this season as they face the Hillsboro Indians.
Chillicothe (6-1, 2-0 n conference) will look to increase their wins as they play the Washington Blue Lions next week.
