After this touchdown, the Panthers kept up a strong defensive performance. However, with four minutes left in the first quarter on a fourth and five, Reid Packer scored another touchdown for the Generals.
The Panthers responded two minutes later with a touchdown from Wesley Armstead to make it 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter started off with a bad snap from Maysville resulting in a Sheridan safety.
Sheridan would use that momentum as Andrew Holden ran 64 yards for a touchdown making it 23-7. Five minutes left to go in the second Caden Sheridan for the Generals runs it in for 30 yards and a touchdown.
The Generals were really looking confident now as Justin Munyan pulled off an interception toward the end of the second quarter. But right when Sheridan was going to score again, Maysville’s Tyler Deboit got an interception to stop the General’s drive and send it to halftime 30-13. As the temperature was dropping fast in Zanesville Sheridan fumbled the ball to start off Quarter 3.
Three minutes later AJ Winders came up with an interception for the Generals. The General’s defense was looking too tough for the Panthers. To end the 3rd quarter, Justin Munyan rushed it in for 21 yards and a touchdown 37-13 Sheridan.
Sheridan’s running back Alex Poirier came out flying to start the 4th with a touchdown.
Even though the Generals were winning they were looking to put the exclamation point on the Generals. The final score of this game was 50-13 and the Sheridan Generals pulled off the win. The Generals look to win again next week against Tri-Valley on the road.
