< < Back to meigs-rolls-in-statement-playoff-win-over-oak-hillAfter a successful regular season, Meigs began their playoff run with a dominant performance against the Oak Hill Oaks. From start to finish the Marauders were in control, winning 63-10.
Meigs missed a few of their opening shots but as soon as they started falling there was no stopping the Marauders. Shots were dropping from all around and the result was never in question.
Senior Rylee Lisle had 22 points and eight rebounds to lead the Marauders. Jennifer Parker recorded eight steals. On the night Meigs had 29 total steals and their full-court press had the Oaks off balance all night.
The Marauders played a team game and passed the ball to each other getting good looks.
Meigs head coach Heath Hudson spoke on what his team needs to do ahead of their second-round matchup against Portsmouth, “Well all those basic things…just the same as we do every year. Eliminate turnovers, make good shot selections, take care of the ball, execute on offense and usually that gets it done.”
The Marauders will travel to Portsmouth on Saturday and take on the eighth-seeded Trojans.
