ATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — The Memorial Day parade took place in Athens Monday as the community gathered to honor and remember those who sacrificed in service to their country.

The parade marched from the intersection of West Washington and Congress Street to the West Union Cemetery, where a ceremony was held.
