Screenings of WOUB’s new series “Foothill Features” will be held around the region in June

The magazine-style program showcases the sights, sounds and stories of our region

ATHENS, OH – WOUB Public Media will hold screenings of the first episode of its new series, Foothill Features, in Coshocton, Chillicothe and Zanesville next month.

The magazine-style variety program contains an eclectic mix of feature narratives that showcase the sights, sounds and stories of our region. The first Foothill Features episode contains stories on:

  • The Ohio Art Corridor
  • The Zanesville Y Bridge
  • The mystery of Moonville
  • The rechanneling of the Hocking River in Athens
  • Friday Night Football Legacies

“This program has something for everyone,” said WOUB Producer/Director Chris Flanery. “And I hope people will be inspired by what they learn about our region.”

Flanery will be on hand at the events to answer questions after the screenings and talk about the future of the series.

The screenings will be held:

Monday, June 3 at 6 p.m. – Coshocton County District Library, 655 Main Street, Coshocton, OH

Tuesday, June 4 at 6 p.m. – Ohio University Chillicothe Bennett Hall, 101 University Drive, Chillicothe, OH (Co-sponsored by the Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library)

Wednesday, June 12 at 5:30 p.m. – John McIntire Library, 220 North Fifth Street
Zanesville, OH

New episodes for this series will be planned for release every fall and spring. Each episode will feature five to seven stories from various locations across the region. Each story featured in the broadcast will also be individually shared on WOUB’s YouTube channel and other digital platforms.
