Barnesville dominates Fort Frye in long-awaited rematch

Barnesville came out the gates sprinting, with a massive kick return setting them up for a goal line rush by QB Casey Carpenter. The Shamrocks then forced a quick stop, allowing RB Trey Toliver to take one to the house.
Only a few minutes later, Fort Frye WB Trey Beardsley loses control of the ball in Cadet territory, and Camden Carpenter pounces on it, and runs it all the way back. Barnesville successfully goes for 2, giving them a 22-0 lead with time to spare in the first quarter.
Wasting no time, the Shamrocks open with a score from the 6-yard-line on fourth down. Trey Tolliver then reminds everyone just who he is with an explosive 87 yard score to put Barnesville ahead 30-0.
Finally, Fort Frye gets on the board with a 69 yard run all the way to the house by Luke Phillis. Another Carpenter score once again, this time, Camden pulls one in in the red zone. The Shamrocks now led 44-7 with 4 minutes to go in the first half.
A holding call against Barnesville granted a safety in favor of the Cadets, leaving the score at 44-9 going into halftime.
Fort Frye couldn’t keep up in the 2nd half either, as the dominance continued for the Shamrocks. Barnesville wins, 51-16.
