Mason, WV (WOUB)- The White Falcons blew the Eagles out of the sky in an absolute slug-fest Friday night.

This game would start hot and eventually cool down as it progressed. The Wahama White Falcons blew out the Eastern Eagles and gave them no opportunity for return.

The game started with back-and-forth play and it would take just 5 minutes for the Falcons to find the endzone. This would be the start of Connor Lambert’s night as he ended the night as the leading scorer. Two minutes later Eastern put themselves on the board as Treyvon Bearhs ran 30 yards.

Wahama tried to run it back to the endzone but running back Tyler Hill intercepted the ball in the endzone and returned it to the ten-yard line. The first quarter would end in a tied score.

Little did Eastern know that in the second quarter the White Falcons would absolutely light up the gridiron. Five minutes in the Eagles struggled to run the ball into the endzone so instead kicker Hayden Wilcoxen splits the uprights to extend the lead.

This is the first and only time Eastern would lead in the game. Another White Falcon Dillan Fields would see the endzone. In case you thought Wahama was done Connor Lambert found the endzone for a second time.

Despite the White Falcons dominating the second quarter, the Eagles did not give up their fight. With forty seconds left in the first half wide receiver Gavin Murphy flew into the endzone to put Eastern back on the path to success.

The first half would end with a score of 34-17.

The game would slow down in the third quarter and only see one touchdown. That touchdown would be Connor Lambert’s third of the night.

The game would pick back up in the fourth quarter where the Eastern Eagles would add to the scoreboard twice before games end as would Wahama.

The Eagles are back in action on October 11 when they face the Trimble Tomcats.
