VINCENT, Ohio – (WOUB) The Marietta Tigers (6-4) came down to Warren High School to conclude another season of TSL football. This game did not lack any action, and Warren took this one 35-16.

Marietta started the game with a successful onside kick, and took advantage right away. Kobe Alexander capped off the first drive with a short score, which put the Tigers ahead 7-0 early.

Tanner Pepper answered for Warren almost instantly. He took a reception about 50 yards for a score that knotted the game up 7-7 early on.

The rest of the first quarter was full of penalties for both sides. This resulted in multiple stalled drives, and the score wouldn’t change again until the second quarter.

Marietta pieced together a solid drive, and set up shop for a 29-yard field goal that put them ahead 10-7 early in the second.

Almost exactly one minute later, Eric Carr followed a big 33-yard carry from Landon Fairbanks with his own 40-yard touchdown. This put the Warriors ahead 14-10.

Following a blocked punt, Eric Carr took advantage of the field position once again. Another long score from the RB gave the Warriors all the momentum as the first half winded down. 21-10 Warren.

With less than two minutes to go in the second, Owen Riley wanted to make things interesting, and he scored on a huge catch in tight coverage, extra point was no good, however, and it was 21-16 Warriors at half.

Warren (7-3) finished the second half in dominating fashion, taking this one 35 to 16. The Warriors earned a share of the TSL, and Marietta (6-4) went home with one of their best seasons in recent memory.
