MAC Women’s Soccer Championship: When and where Ohio will defend its 2023 MAC title
< < Back toATHENS, Ohio (WOUB) — The Ohio Bobcats (10-4-4, 5-3-3 MAC) have wrapped up their MAC regular season slate and are now in tournament mode. Despite falling to 1-0 rival Miami (OH) on the last day of the regular season, Ohio clinched its spot in the tournament Sunday with a win over Central Michigan. With all regular season results finalized, Ohio is slated to be the third seed in the MAC Women’s Soccer Championship. It will host the Bowling Green Falcons in the quarterfinal round Nov. 3, with game time set for 1 p.m. In September, the Bobcats beat the Falcons on the road, 3-0.
Here are the final regular season standings and current bracket, with matchups and hosts explained. Points are tallied in conference matchups with three points being awarded for a win, one point being awarded for a draw, and zero points being awarded for a loss. The top six teams make the conference tournament.

The top two seeds, Western Michigan and Buffalo, will receive automatic byes to the semifinal round. Western Michigan will host the MAC Championship Game in addition to both semifinal games in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The third and fourth-seeded teams, Ohio and Kent State, respectively, will host the two quarterfinal games on their campuses. Ohio will face sixth-seeded Bowling Green, while Kent State will square off against fifth-seeded Miami (OH).
Here are the dates each round is scheduled to take place. Times for the semifinals and final are currently to be determined.
Quarterfinals: Sunday, Nov. 3, 1 p.m.
Semifinals: Thursday, Nov. 7
Final: Sunday, Nov. 10
Ohio won three straight matches in the 2023 MAC Championship to win the conference title and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where the Bobcats eventually fell to Michigan State. Ohio must win multiple games in Kalamazoo for the second straight year to return to the NCAA Tournament.
