Here are the 2024 general election results for Athens County

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WOUB) – According to unofficial results, a little less than 64.67 percent of registered voters in Athens County cast ballots in the 2024 general election.

Voters in the county supported Democrat Kamala Harris for president with 54 percent of the vote, followed by Republican Donald Trump with 44 percent.

In the race for U.S. Senate, Athens County voters preferred Democrat Sherrod Brown with 57 percent of the vote followed by Republican Bernie Moreno with 39 percent.

A majority of Athens County voters cast ballots in favor of Issue 1 with 58% percent of the vote.

In the race for County Commissioner, Democrat Charlie Adkins received 13,783 votes to win. Jon Rose received 7,886 votes.

Voters in Plains Township approved a fire equipment levy renewal of 2.5 mills/5 years with a vote of 978-471.

Voters in Canaan Township approved a fire protection levy addition of 1 mill/5 years with a vote of 606-285.

Voters in Dover Township approved a fire protection levy of 1 mill/4 years with a vote of 785-597.
