Cyndi Lauper, one of the most iconic musical artists of the 1980s, performs onstage with the same exuberance that first made her a star in CYNDI LAUPER LIVE… AT LAST. Filmed in 2004, fans can witness the enduring magic of Lauper as she performs an intimate concert in New York’s Town Hall.
CYNDI LAUPER LIVE… AT LAST features the singer showcasing her vocal range through dramatic and thoughtfully reworked renditions of her greatest hits, such as “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “Money Changes Everything,” “Time After Time,” and “True Colors.” She also includes deep cuts in her set list for her diehard fans, such as “She Bop” and “All Through the Night.”
Beyond just her classics, Lauper showcases her versatility by weaving in covers of acclaimed classics, including “At Last” by Etta James, “Stay” by Maurice Williams & the Zodiacs, “I Drove All Night” by Roy Orbison, and “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers. Between her songs, she playfully interacts with the crowd and shares personal stories behind her music. Further displaying her raw musical talent, Lauper plays the dulcimer for her rendition of “Time After Time” and adds Latin vibes to “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”
Cyndi Lauper first burst into the music scene in 1983, with the release of her debut album She’s So Unusual. After winning a 19845 Grammy Award for Best New Artist, Lauper went to on sell more than 50 million albums worldwide and won six Tony Awards for her hit Broadway musical “Kinky Boots”. Her biographical documentary, Let the Canary Sing, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in the spring of 2023.
