“Picture Perfect” Photography Show Opens in Jackson
< < Back to picture-perfect-photography-show-opens-in-jacksonThe 11th Annual Jackson County Picture Perfect Amateur Photography contest and exhibit, a project of The Jackson County Times-Journal, is currently on display at the Markay Cultural Arts Center, located at 269 E. Main St., Jackson.
The entries, in both youth and adult divisions, are being featured through May 22.
People’s Choice voting ends on May 10. Ballots must be cast at the Markay. Voters are allowed to vote once per day.
The exhibit is open each Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 1-3 p.m. or by special arrangement for groups by calling 740-286-6355.
Entries will be judged for a wide variety of cash awards. Prizes in the youth and adult divisions will be awarded.
The Grand Prize is $75 in each division. The Second Prize is $50 and the Third Prize is $25. A $50 award will be given to the Best Representation of Life in Jackson County Photograph in each division as well. The Peoples Choice Prize will be $25.
Contest winners will be announced on May 15 at www.timesjournal.com, as well as in the May 17 edition of The Jackson County Times-Journal.
