Scioto Co. Drug Lab Triggers Family Shooting

Scioto County sheriff's deputies say a Minford man has been arrested after shooting his brother early this morning when he discovered his brother was manufacturing drugs on their property.
Buster Smith, 36, of Beaver, Ohio, was arrested on charges of Felonious Assault and will appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court today.
Michael Smith sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported by helicopter to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va., where he is in stable condition.
Investigators say the altercation began when family members confronted the gunshot victim after discovering that illegal drugs had been and were being made at the house.
When deputies got to the home, they say they found a suspected meth lab.
The shooting victim will be charged with domestic violence and chemicals to manufacture drugs after being treated for his injuries.
