Women’s Soccer: Famodu Wins MAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week
< < Back to womens-soccer-famodu-wins-mac-co-offensive-player-weekSenior midfielder Toye Famodu’s two goals this weekend helped Ohio win two conference victories on the road and earned her Ohio Soccer’s first weekly honors this season.
Her first goal tied the game against Western Michigan in the 70th minute. Her score forced overtime, where the Bobcats eventually won. A couple of days later against Northern Illinois, she put the ball in the back of the net in the 25th minute to put Ohio up 1-0. The Bobcats went on to take that game 2-1. Famodu has three total goals this season and seven during her career with the green and white.
Toledo’s Rachel MacLeod is the other recipient of the honor. The forward also scored two goals over the weekend. Toledo’s goalkeeper Vicki Traven’s two shutouts over the weekend earned her Defensive Player of the Week.
