Kacey Musgraves To Cap Off Worldwide Tour At OU
< < Back to ?p=13224Area country music fans will be in for a Halloween treat when Kacey Musgraves' "Same Trailer, Different Tour" rolls into Athens on Oct. 31.
The singer-songwriter, who is currently up for six CMA Awards, will perform at Ohio University's Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium at 7:30 p.m.
Currently traveling the world in support of her number-one album, Same Trailer, Different Park, Musgraves will make stops in Germany, Sweden, Norway, Ireland and the U.K. before wrapping up the 13-date tour in Athens.
In the past, Musgraves has toured with Kenney Chesney, Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum. Now she plans to put that experience to good use.
"I've learned so much from the amazing artists who've invited me to tour with them over the past couple of years and can't wait to take that knowledge and work it into this tour in my own quirky way," she told Music Row. "I'm excited to get back on the road and bring our little trailer park to the fans."
Musgraves, who released three independent albums before recording her major label debut via Mercury Records, feels fortunate to finally be living her dream.
"I have to remind myself that I have been working hard for this. Because literally, it's so much fun that I get to wake up and do what I love every day. So many people fight that every day and have to do something that they hate, so I'm really lucky."
Tickets are now on sale for the Oct. 31 show. Visit the Ohio University Performing Arts Series website for details.
