Spooky Snapshots at Logan’s Bowen House

Dennis Savage and the Bowen House Photography Group have taken it a step further, though, with their exhibit at The Bowen House that celebrates the spectacular and spooky parts of fall.
The photos, both in color and black and white, hang throughout the house.
“This is a terrific show,” said Bowen House Executive Director Glennda Tingle. “Dennis Savage is one of the best photographers in the area, and that is quite evident in his exhibit photos.”
Gary and Laura Ford Champ have created a series of beautifully eerie black and white photos using a ghost bride as the main character. A great deal of work went into the making of the photographs, including construction of the ghostly bride’s gown, which also is on display at The Bowen House, located at 196 N. Market St., Logan.
In addition to photos, group member Crystal Snodgrass has created a series of masks reminiscent of those used at masquerade balls in earlier centuries.
Other photography group members with their work on display include Melissa Brown, Joy Upton-Miller, Christa Meyers, Sue McCollister, Mike Mouser, Larry Bailey and Shirley Tinkham.
The Spooky, Spectacular Photo Exhibit will be on display at The Bowen House through Oct. 31. Bowen House hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 2 to 5 p.m.
