1.) Tri-Valley Scotties 8-1 (7-0) | Last week: 1 | Next opponent: Vs. Philo

With Tri-Valley’s win against Maysville, which secured its fifth consecutive league title, the Scotties extended their MVL road winning streak to 39 games. Tri-Valley can secure the outright title with a win against Philo.

 

2.) Sheridan Generals 6-3 (6-1) | Last week: 2 | Next opponent: @ New Lexington

Sheridan charged out of the gates against Crooksville, burying the Ceramics 28-3 by the half. The Generals currently hold the No. 11 spot in division III, region nine, three spots out of the playoffs.

 

3.) Maysville 7-2 (6-2) | Last week: 3 | Next opponent: @ Claymont

Johnny Runkle returned to action just five weeks after tearing his ACL, but Tri-Valley largely subdued Maysville’s offense. Chase Roberts accumulated 161 total yards on the night.

 

The loss knocked Maysville out of a playoff spot with the Panthers now holding the 10th spot in division IV, region 13.

 

4.) Philo 5-4 (4-3) | Last week: 4 | Next opponent: @ Tri-Valley

A host of Electrics guided Philo to a 24-point first quarter and 50-6 rout of last-place Morgan on Friday. The game marked Philo’s most prolific offensive performance of the year.

 

5.) Crooksville 4-5 (3-4) | Last week: 5 | Next opponent: Vs. John Glenn

Friday marked the fourth game in which Crooksville scored three points or fewer.

 

6.) New Lexington 3-6 (3-4) | Last week: 6 | Next opponent: Vs. Sheridan

Turnovers doomed New Lexington in its 22-21 loss to John Glenn.

 

7.) John Glenn 2-7 (2-5) | Last week: 8 | Next opponent: @ Crooksville

Shane Bonner’s late 22-yard touchdown proved to be the difference, in addition to key defensive plays to stifle a New Lexington comeback.

 

8.) West Muskingum 1-8 (1-6) | Last rank: 7 | Next opponent: @ Morgan

West Muskingum’s 16 points against Caldwell stands as its second-best offensive performance of the season.

 

9.) Morgan 0-10 (0-8) | Last rank: 9 | Next opponent: Vs. West Muskingum

Morgan has yet to lose by fewer than 14 points this season.
