Bomb Threats Target Four Ohio Locations
< < Back to bomb-threats-target-four-ohio-locationsCANTON, Ohio (AP) — Police and the FBI are probing bomb threats made against four locations in a northeast Ohio county.
The Repository in Canton reports (http://bit.ly/208nkJY ) threats were made in Stark County on Saturday night against Wal-Mart and Circle K stores in Canton, against Canton City Hall and against a Target store in Jackson Township.
Investigators say police didn’t find any explosive devices at the four locations.
Police say someone called the Target around 6:40 p.m., saying there were explosives in the store and there would be a shooting if the bombs didn’t go off within 30 minutes. It’s unclear if the threats were the same against the Canton locations.
According to police, the calls may have been routed through a service like Skype to avoid being tracked.
