Cabell County Prosecuter Appointed

Cabell County Prosecutor Chris Chiles has been appointed by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin to replace David Pancake as 6th Judicial Circuit Court Judge in Cabell County.
According to WSAZ, the announcement was made Tuesday afternoon on Tomblin's Twitter account.
Pancake officially retired on Friday, after serving 16 years on the bench, and Chiles' appointment became effective Monday. Chiles will serve as Circuit Court Judge through the November General Election.
Also on Monday the Governor's Office announced a special filing period for candidates interested in the post starting after the General election.
That filing period will run from Tuesday through February 17.
