You are invited to join us for a walk along the Athens Belpre Rail Trail. Come learn more about transforming the former B&O railway grade into a bike, pedestrian, and equestrian trail, and share your ideas and feedback about the trail.

Meet at Ferndale Park for snacks and cider, followed by a walk along the Torch section of the trail.

The Athens Belpre Rail Trail is an effort between Athens and Washington Counties and many community organizations, to transform the former B&O railway grade into a bike, pedestrian, and equestrian trail that would connect the cities of Athens and Belpre. This trail will be an important piece of the regional rail trail system. The first three miles of trail were constructed this year.
