< < Back to deputies-still-searching-stabbing-suspectThe victim of a reported stabbing in Guysville is in stable condition at a Columbus hospital, according to law enforcement who are still searching for the primary suspect.
Donald Cusic, 60, reported that he had been stabbed at his home at 17111 Mill School Road at about 9:45 p.m. Thursday night. He was transported from the scene by Athens County Emergency Medical Services to OhioHealth O'Bleness Hospital. From there, he was flown by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center, according to Lt. Jason Kline of the Athens County Sheriff's Office.
Cusic said he had sustained a serious injury to his stomach, but could not identify to dispatchers what was used to stab him. Investigators are still trying to determine what the weapon was, according to Kline.
A search began for a suspect, Jerry L. Noble, 42, immediately after the investigation into the stabbing began. Kline said Noble is still the primary suspect but has not been located.
A news release sent out by the sheriff's office stated that Noble fled the scene prior to deputies arriving, in an unknown direction of travel.
Noble is described as standing 5-3, weighing 145 pounds and having blond hair and blue eyes. He was believed to be traveling with a woman in a grey truck, according to information released over the scanner on Thursday night.
Another vehicle, a 1985 Gold Jimmy with the license plate number GCB 7389 was given out by dispatchers as vehicle driven by a person possibly connected to the stabbing.
Authorities said Noble is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information on the alleged crime or Noble's whereabouts is asked to visit the sheriff's office or call the office at (740) 593-6633.
