WOUB Features Summer Activities Across Ohio for the Whole Family
< < Back to ?p=190588WOUB Public Media has partnered with major news entities from across Ohio to bring you the 2017 Summer Activities guide. This guide features activities and events by regions to help you pinpoint the specific activities in the area you are visiting.
This year’s statewide activity guide concentrates on family fun. It features many low cost but high quality options.
Some of the attractions will be familiar to you. Some will be old family favorites. But, some are new and exciting first-time events and places to enjoy.
The guide provides truly something for everyone – from the art lover and museums to the thrill seeker and Amusement Parks and rollercoasters. It also includes several of our Ohio State Parks and Lodges for outdoor enthusiasts and music festivals and venues for the music lovers.
Each entry provides the reader with a website to visit, if available, and a phone number to call for further details. Admission prices also are often listed so you know the potential costs ahead of time.
If you want to stay close to home, the Southeast Ohio section is full of something for every weekend or a series of day trips around the Appalachian part of the state.
According to WOUB’s Culture Editor Emily Votaw, she will be updating this site periodically over the summer to add new entries for your consideration. The page will not remain static – so come back and check it out often.
The Northeast Ohio section was written by the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Northwest Ohio by the Toledo Blade, and Southwest Ohio by the Dayton Daily News. WOUB Public Media, through its Culture Editor Votaw, designed the content for Southeast Ohio. The Columbus Dispatch wrote about Central Ohio and acted as the coordinating entity for the project.
